Sally Beauty’s Generics line has the best bang for your buck!
Sally Beauty’s Generic line is the answer to super cheap dupes that actually work!
When it comes to hair and skin care, there are so many products on the market…and I’m a sucker to try almost all of them! More recently, I fell in love with the Kenra volume spray, recommended to me by my hairdresser and what felt like thousands of friends (a.k.a. reviewers on Ulta’s website). 😂 I’ve been taking an interest lately in higher-end hair care (since I don’t seem to put a limit on quality skincare) though I’ll be honest, I wasn’t loving the $20 price tag.
But then I stumbled upon Sally Beauty’s Generic line…and sure enough, guess which product was at the top of the page I landed on — the generic dupe for Kenra volume spray for around $11! AND it was even on sale for 2/$12! Yes, you’re reading that right… TWO hairsprays for way less than the regular price of one. 🤯
Discovering this magical haircare sale while being on a call with some team members, I immediately said, “hang on one second, guys; I need to place this order right NOW!”
I absolutely love the Kenra hairspray; it’s soft and lightweight, yet effective but after testing out the Sally generic, I felt a little duped. It truly felt like it had the same effect on my hair, though the scent of the generic version is a touch more aerosol/alcohol-like.
What really blew me away was the “Compare to” component right on the packaging. They promote the actual brand name product it’s compared to and list out the ingredients side-by-side. The proof is in the packaging, my friends!
This discovery got my wheels turning to think, “what other brand name products am I buying that are part of this generic line?!”
I found my answer… face masks! Have you guys ever heard of GLAMGLOW SUPERMUD? When this mask first came out several years ago, I was such a fan girl. It was like a vacuum for gunked-up pores! But if I’m being honest, I only ever bought the travel size because I simply couldn’t bear the cost! 🙈
When I spotted it in the list of Sally generic products for under $11, my finger instinctively clicked “add to cart”. And I am not disappointed in that decision at all because it is JUST as good as the brand name version!
Check out my before and after photos:
I will admit, these pictures may not show a night and day difference, but personally, I 100% see an improvement! So far, I’ve only used this mask three times, but if the results continue the way they have been, I can only imagine how great my skin will look with consistent use!
And note the first image is slightly darker from being taken at a different time of day one week prior but these images are [obviously] not edited — hi there pores, facial/nose hair, and blemishes! 👋😂 Side note: it’s a very humbling experience taking close-up shots of your blackheads.
But the awesomeness of this generic line doesn’t stop there!
It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-in Conditioner is a massive team favorite among Hip2Save, but those small bottles can add up! However, luckily Sally Beauty’s Generic dupe also strengthens and rebuilds damaged hair for nearly half the price. Not to mention that for the most part, the ingredients the pretty much the same – how is this possible?! 🤯
This goes for all products part of the generic line, hence why they’re being “compared to” top-of-the-line products.
Here’s a review from a buyer:
“I bought this after looking for a cheaper alternative to the It’s A 10 Leave-In Conditioner. It is a lot less expensive and works the same. I use it every day to help comb out my color-treated hair. I put the product in an It’s A 10 bottle to feel fancier.” – Lizzy
And it still gets better, because so many more hair care products, including ones from the generic line, are on sale 2 for $12!
It’s basically a BOGO deal with tons of options normally around $12, if not higher! The sale ends TODAY, so act fast! 🏃🏻♀️
And the savings don’t stop there! If you’re looking for another way to save, be sure to sign up for Sally Beauty rewards. I signed up while I was checking out and the next day, I received an email for $5 off my next purchase! Looks like I’m just going to have to keep trying more products from this Sally generic line. 😏
Let me know if you’ll be trying any of these generic dupes! 🙌
