The Healthcare Distribution Alliance (HDA) announced that Robert Mauch, PharmD, PhD, group president of AmerisourceBergen, was elected to a second term as chairman of HDA’s board of directors. Chad Gielen, president/CEO of Louisiana Wholesale Drug Co., Inc., will again serve as vice chairman.

Medable Inc., a cloud platform for patient-centered drug development, has hired MaryAnne Rizk, PhD as chief strategy officer. Dr. Rizk has more than 20 years of experience managing partnerships and ecosystems to accelerate development across technology (Oracle, Medidata), pharma (Merck), and clinical research organizations (IQVIA).

AeroSafe Global, a cold chain solutions provider across the supply chain, has brought on Rick Lozano as chief commercial officer. Lozano, a pharmaceutical distribution sales executive, brings more than 20 years of experience heading into this new role, where he will drive new sales and organic account expansion. Lozano will work closely with AeroSafe Global’s chief digital officer, Scott Whyte.

Capital Rx, a health technology, announced that Matthew Coyle has joined the team as senior vice president and general manager of pharmacy benefit administration (PBA) services. Coyle brings 25 years of market-building, strategy and sales experience to the company. In his new role, Coyle will be responsible for driving adoption of CapitalRx’s enterprise pharmacy platform in existing and new markets, including health plans, prescription drug savings programs and pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) adjudication services.

Quanticate, a global data-focused clinical research organization (CRO), has named Nick Darbey as the company’s executive vice president of business development. Drawing on Darbey’s track record of growing CROs, Quanticate will leverage his business development leadership to support the growth of the business.

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) appointed Philip Goh as its regional vice president for Asia-Pacific, effective immediately. Goh succeeds Conrad Clifford, who has been IATA’s deputy director general since July 1. Goh is a 34-year veteran of the airline industry. He has held various senior management roles at Singapore Airlines in Singapore and overseas, at Virgin Atlantic Airways in London, and has extensive experience working throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

OPEN Health, who brings together deep scientific knowledge, global understanding, and broad specialist expertise to support clients in improving health outcomes and patient wellbeing, has appointed Margot Hannah as the new CEO of OPEN Health Communications. Since joining OPEN Health in 2011, Margot has provided leadership and dedication to the company—she has held various positions, most recently as president of the Medical Communications Center of Excellence, where she has built a high-performance team by developing and retaining talent. As CEO, she will be responsible for more than 500 people, with overall accountability for the medical and brand communications services, including publications, medical education, learning and development, and creative and digital services.

Tekni-Plex, a provider of medical device components, has named Chris Qualters as CEO of the company’s healthcare division. Qualters joined Tekni-Plex in November as president of Tekni-Plex Medical, responsible for all aspects of the company’s global medical device business. His new responsibilities have been expanded to include all Tekni-Plex businesses related to healthcare, including product solutions for patient care including medical devices, diagnostics, drug delivery and sterilizable materials.

Beghou Consulting, who aims to hlep life sciences companies and manage commercial operations to better market and sell therapies, recently promoted both Jason Keglovitz and Carl Onak, experienced data and software engineers, to director positions. As director of software engineering, Keglovitz will oversee the addition of new features and capabilities to Beghou’s cloud-based application platform that enables users to manage data, commercial tactics, and reporting. As director of data engineering, Onak will spearhead enhancements to Beghou’s cloud-based data management and analytics platform.
